The global lighting industry’s Zhaga Consortium has recently announced the winners of its inaugural Smart City Sensor Awards.
Zhaga has recognised that nothing beats the street light as a location for many smart city sensing tasks and has developed a standard to make smart city sensors interoperable with the next generation of street lights and their smart control systems. Called Zhaga Book 18, the standard is being increasingly adopted by major lighting manufacturers.
The four winners announced in an online ceremony were:
- Mobility: TRIDONIC with its SensorX concept
- Adaptive Lighting Controls: TE Connectivity with its LUMAWISE Motion sensor
- Innovation: Citylight.net with its CNODE IOT AMR sensor
- Multi Sensor: Signify with its Philips outdoor sensor LRI8135
